Celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Month

At GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford, we want to wish you a very happy Down Syndrome Awareness Month! While every year, October is designated as Down Syndrome Awareness Month, here at GiGi’s we work all year long to not only celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and their accomplishments, but day in and day out we want to EDUCATE, INSPIRE and BELIEVE in every person with Down syndrome at any age. This month allows us the opportunity to promote awareness of the value, acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome throughout the country.

Please join us in our efforts to spreading awareness, acceptance and advocacy by coming to the Backyard Grill & Bar on October 8 from 5-9 pm for dinner and see fellow GiGi’s families. All proceeds will benefit GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford. Also, partake in cookie decorating at Tropical Delights in Roscoe on Oct. 12 from 2:00-4:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring your apron!

We express our gratitude for your support to our organization. We appreciate our community and how everyone cheers us on to meet our mission; to inspire and empower individuals with Down syndrome to succeed in life!
