A Heartwarming Giving Tuesday with GiGi’s Playhouse and the Channels Teams at SAS Campus

In early December, some of the adults from GiGi’s Playhouse got to join the Channels Team at SAS Campus for their Holiday Party! Christine from SAS shared her thoughts from the evening:

“This year’s Giving Tuesday was made truly unforgettable by the incredible GiGi’s Playhouse community, as we came together on SAS campus for an event filled with joy, creativity, and heartfelt performances. The day was a beautiful reminder of the power of inclusion and the strength of the friendships that GiGi’s Playhouse fosters.

From the moment we gathered, we were treated to the wonderful sounds of handbell performers from GiGi’s Playhouse, whose music touched everyone’s hearts. Their performance was a beautiful example of how music can connect people, filling the room with warmth and spirit. It was an honor to witness the talent and dedication of these performers, who shared their passion and joy with all of us.

As the music played, the festivities continued with a dance party led by the one and only DJ Doug. Everyone, took to the dance floor, letting loose and celebrating together in a moment of pure joy. The energy was infectious, and it was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces, all dancing and laughing especially to the Chicken Dance.

Of course, no celebration is complete without some sweet treats! Guests decorated cookies, tapping into their creativity and adding a special touch to the event. The cookie decorating station was a hit, with everyone eager to craft the perfect design to match the day’s festive spirit.

We also had an Ugly Sweater Party. The room was filled with laughter as attendees showed off their most festive, and hilarious sweaters by parading around the room. It was a fun moment, especially when the winners received their medals, making it feel like a true Olympic event!

The best part of the day? Each of our GiGi’s friends left with a special gift from us — a small token of our appreciation for the joy and inspiration they bring into our lives.

GiGi’s Playhouse touched our hearts in a way we’ll never forget. The performances, the smiles, the tears and the sense of togetherness were a reminder of the positive impact this incredible organization has on so many lives. We left the event with our hearts full, grateful for the lasting impact they’ve had on our lives. Their commitment to creating a space where individuals of all abilities can shine is something we are proud to support.
