GiGi’s Playhouse Portland hosts the 2024 GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge on June 15th at Mary S Young Park in West Linn.

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers is once again hosting the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge; a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign with more than 50+ events happening across the country! The goal of the campaign is to raise funds and awareness which supports GiGi’s Playhouse’s efforts to create a more accepting world for all, through their 100% free educational and therapeutic programs for those with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.  2024 is so important because GiGi’s Playhouse will be opening here in the Portland area and infants through adults will be able to thrive in their programs.

Portland’s 2024 GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is being held on June 15th at Mary S. Young Park in West Linn from 10am to 1:30pm.  Participants will experience a 5K fun run, 21-yard Kids dash, and 1-mile walk for acceptance. Local vendors and nonprofits serving the “differently-abled community” will be there with information tables and fun games.  There will be bouncy houses, music, dancing, food trucks and more…so plan on spending the morning celebrating.
