Growth through kindness, dedication, and the heart Fran brings to GiGi’s Playhouse

Fran Pratt has been a steady, generous force behind the launch and continued success of our literacy and math tutoring program, and her impact reaches far beyond the lesson plans. She also successfully relaunched our LMNOP program on Wednesdays from 10 to 11am, where consistent growth in participation is a direct reflection of the warmth, structure, and intentionality she brings each week. Fran works closely with the mamas and their littles through signing, singing, reading, fine and gross motor activities, and verbal practice, all while creating an environment that feels welcoming and supportive. As the children grow in confidence and skill, something just as meaningful is happening alongside them. The moms are forming friendships and finding community.

Fran has donated over 240 hours of her time to GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her kindness and care filling our space. An expert grandmother herself, and a retired nurse, this work comes naturally to Fran, even as she balances her own busy life. Her calm presence, experience, and genuine love for our families are felt the moment she walks through the door. She brings her professional knowledge, patience, and nurturing spirit to every activity, helping ensure that each child and family member has a meaningful and positive experience.
