About GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County

Since opening our doors in November 2022, GiGi's Playhouse Orange County has grown far beyond what we imagined possible. What began as a dream to create a place of acceptance, achievement, and belonging for individuals with Down syndrome has become a thriving community serving hundreds of families throughout Orange County. In just a few short years, we have more than doubled the number of families we support, doubled our volunteer base, and doubled the number of free educational, therapeutic, career development, and social programs we offer each year.

Our growth has been fueled by an extraordinary community of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and advocates who believe in the potential of every individual with Down syndrome. Through their support, we continue to provide life-changing programs that empower participants of all ages to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their personal best.

Our impact extends beyond the Playhouse walls through signature fundraising events like The Lucky Few Gala and the Putting for the Playhouse Golf Tournament. These events bring together families, community leaders, businesses, and supporters to celebrate achievements, raise awareness, and generate the critical funding needed to keep all of our programs free of charge.

As we look toward the future, we remain committed to growing our reach, expanding opportunities, and serving even more families throughout Orange County. Together, we are changing the way the world views Down syndrome and sending a global message of acceptance for all.

GiGi's Playhouse

We are a Down syndrome organization with over 61+ brick-and-mortar locations across the United States and Mexico and 200 inquiries to start new locations all over the world, GiGi’s Playhouse is the ONLY network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers. Every day, we provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs for 30,000+ individuals of all ages.

Down syndrome is the largest chromosomal disability in our country and yet, it is the least funded. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a lifetime commitment to remain by their side. Families are empowered with all the tools their child needs to succeed!

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. To ensure lasting acceptance, we must show the world what individuals with Down syndrome are truly capable of achieving as students, co-workers, volunteers, friends, and valued members of their communities. Our program outcomes help advance this vital social impact goal.

GiGi's Playhouse is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and is solely funded by donations.
