Volunteer Spotlight: Lori Davidson
Lori Davidson joined GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville as a volunteer this summer and has quickly become a cherished member of the community. Her commitment is most visible in the LMNOP (Language, Music, ‘N Our Peeps) program, which is designed for young children with Down syndrome. This program aims to build foundational language skills using music and movement, providing a joyful environment where children can learn and grow. Lori’s enthusiasm and energy perfectly align with the spirit of LMNOP, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for the little ones she supports.
Lori’s dedication goes beyond simply showing up; she actively engages with each child, fostering their communication and social skills. Her presence adds an extra layer of support, allowing children to explore language through fun activities like singing, signing, and playing musical instruments. Participant Spotlight: Zachery Croft
Zachery is a warm and friendly presence at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville, and his return to the Playhouse has been a joyful reunion for everyone involved. Having been part of GiGi’s Nashville since its early days, Zachery has a special connection to the community. When his family moved, he continued his journey with GiGi’s Playhouse, attending programs at multiple locations. This experience allowed him to meet new people and engage with different communities, but there’s no place like home, and Zachery’s family moved back to Tennessee, bringing him back to where it all began.
Zachery is known for his sweet and observant nature, always paying attention to those around him and making everyone feel valued. His genuine kindness and caring personality have made him a beloved member of the GiGi’s Nashville family. His ability to connect with others on a deep and personal level is a gift, and makes all participants and volunteers feel appreciated and understood.

Tutor Spotlight: Sarah Markuson
Sarah, a recent high school graduate, has made a meaningful impact as a volunteer tutor at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville. Before embarking on her new chapter, Sarah chose to spend her summer giving back to her community, dedicating her time and talents to tutoring an individual with Down syndrome in math. Her commitment to helping others shines through in her patient and encouraging teaching style, making her a beloved and effective tutor.
Throughout the summer, Sarah demonstrated not only her knowledge of math but also her deep compassion and understanding. She tailored her tutoring sessions to meet the unique needs of her student, using creative and engaging methods to make learning both fun and effective.
