Participant Best of All: Katya K.

Katya K. truly embodies what “Best of All” means at GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee. Week after week, she shows up with a warm smile, ready not only to participate but to lift up her friends at GiGi’s. Katya regularly supports her peers in thoughtful, meaningful ways whether that’s helping a friend understand an activity, offering a gentle nudge of encouragement, or simply sitting beside someone who needs a buddy. Her consistency is what makes her impact so powerful. She naturally steps into the role of cheerleader and friend, making sure no one feels left out.

Katya encourages her peers to try new things, even when they may feel unsure at first. With her positive attitude and reassuring words, she helps others find the confidence to take that first step. Whether it’s attempting a new skill or joining an activity outside their comfort zone, Katya is right there, smiling, and celebrating every effort. She is especially thoughtful about inclusion, always making sure that everyone is included equally and given the opportunity to participate to their fullest ability. Katya pays attention to who hasn’t had a turn yet and gently advocates for them, helping ensure every voice is heard and every accomplishment is celebrated. She leads by example, showing that kindness and courage can go hand in hand.

What makes Katya especially remarkable is her kind, caring, and empathetic spirit. She notices when someone needs extra support and responds with understanding and encouragement.
