Best of All: Coco

Coco has been showing us her best this GiGiFIT Infant session as she is showing off some new motor skills. She is now pushing up to stand, standing independently, and is beginning to take steps! She has become comfortable playing amongst the other children, exploring the room and toys, and likes to imitate the actions of our songs—especially the “wave hello” song! She likes bouncing, pushing the carts, crawling on the parachute, and knocking down blocks. She shows us she is having fun while she improves her motor skills by flashing us a happy smile and raising her arms up as if to say “taa–da”!

The GiGiFIT Infant Program
In GiGiFIT Infant we are making movement fun! We introduce the concepts of foundational movements, mobility, visual-vestibular, and reflex integration activities. In a fun environment we are purposefully progressing on improving areas of fitness through activities in strength, endurance, joint stability, balance, movement control and more.

Why is this so great for Coco’s development?
Coco’s progress in gaining new coordination skills is not just a testament to her individual growth but also highlights the effectiveness of the GiGiFIT Infant program. Here’s why her development is so remarkable:

  1. Motor Skill Mastery: Coco’s ability to push up to stand, stand independently, and even take steps showcases her mastery over fundamental motor skills. These skills are crucial for her overall physical development and will serve as a foundation for more complex movements in the future.
  2. Confidence Building: By participating in activities like pushing carts, crawling on the parachute, and knocking down blocks, Coco is not only improving her coordination but also building confidence in her abilities. Each successful attempt reinforces her belief in herself, encouraging further exploration and experimentation.
  3. Social Integration: Coco’s comfort in playing amongst other children indicates not only her growing social skills but also her ability to adapt to different environments. Engaging with peers fosters social interaction, cooperation, and the sharing of experiences, all of which are essential for healthy development.
  4. Imitation and Learning: Coco’s inclination towards imitating actions from songs, especially the “wave hello” song, demonstrates her capacity for learning through observation and repetition. This skill is invaluable as it allows her to absorb new information and behaviors, laying the groundwork for future cognitive development.
  5. Enjoyment and Engagement: Coco’s happy smile and enthusiastic gestures signify that she is not just engaging in physical activities but also enjoying them. This enjoyment is crucial as it fosters a positive attitude towards exercise and physical activity, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.

Overall, Coco’s progress in gaining new coordination skills is not only exciting but also indicative of the holistic benefits of programs like GiGiFIT Infant. By making movement fun and purposefully progressing through various activities, Coco is not just developing physically but also mentally, emotionally, and socially.
