Fact Friday: Individuals with Down syndrome ARE employable!

Myth: People with Down syndrome are unemployable
Facts to disprove myth:
Individuals with Down syndrome can be excellent employees. The Global Down Syndrome Foundation explains that many businesses report a higher satisfaction level with their employees with Down syndrome among all other workers that they have employed. Some of many examples of businesses that individuals with Down syndrome are employed within include: banks, childcare services, corporations, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, offices, restaurants and the music, entertainment industry, etc. Just like anyone else, individuals with Down syndrome have the ability to be quality employees.
