Rogue Souls for the Win!

The first annual fundraiser put on by this amazing group of guys was definitely one for the books and we are so incredibly grateful.

I was first approached by Allen who is a dad to one of our sweetest participants, Emmee. He came to me and said that his motorcycle group wanted to put on a fundraiser for GiGi’s Playhouse Layton and we immediately hit the ground running (well, they hit it on motorcycles, I was running). They decided they wanted to do a poker ride and they were going to plan it all. I answered questions and gave them some guidance, but these guys were truly amazing in all of their efforts. From getting items donated for raffles, marketing their event, and attending city council meetings, you could easily see that this cause was dear to their hearts, and they wanted it to be a huge success.

The day of the event was absolutely amazing. What we hoped would be at least 75 riders ended up being well over 125 riders decked out in shirts, leather, and smiles. Everyone was in such good spirits and so supportive. The ride started and we knew that we accomplished more than expected. We originally expected to raise a couple thousand dollars for Gigi’s Playhouse Layton, but by the end of the event, we realized how much we underestimated this community. We managed to raise over $11,000 and can’t wait to make this an annual event!

We appreciate Rogue Souls, our local community, the food trucks, and the bands for all the effort that went into planning such an amazing day!!!
