Brianna Newman – Vice President
Brianna Newman is a wife and mother of 4. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, anything and everything Disney, making people smile, and most of all hearing her kids laugh and play. She is excited to be involved at GiGi's Playhouse because she believes that everyone deserves to feel loved, included and empowered to accomplish their dreams.

JJ Whicker – Treasurer
JJ is a pediatric audiologist and has in own practice specializing in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders in children. He has a PhD in Disability and is an advocate for accessibility and disability rights, especially for children. Throughout his educational and clinical experiences, JJ has worked with many children with Down syndrome and is excited for the chance to work with the community in ensuring an inclusive place for children and adults with Down syndrome to thrive.

Kimberly (Foote) Boydston - Secretary
Kimberly is devoted wife, teacher, and volunteer. She has been volunteering and working with individuals with disabilities for over 10 years. Kimberly is passionate about educating and inspiring individuals with Down Syndrome and is excited to bring back programs and hope to families in Layton. Kimberly is eager to spread awareness in the community of how amazing WE all are!

Sharolyn Shimer – Board Member
Sharolyn is a wife, mom, bonus mom and grandma Gigi. She is blessed to be Morgyn’s mom. Morgyn has Down Syndrome and brings so much joy and happiness to our family. Being able to learn and grow with Morgyn is an amazing journey. Advocating for inclusion and acceptance for everyone is my why. It’s the sparkle in their eyes, the joy in their step and the designer gene that has my heart. I am very excited for the opportunity to be at the playhouse working with all individuals and families.

Heather Whicker – Site Manager
Heather is a wife and mom of two beautiful kids, Cambria and Rylan. She enjoys, hiking, camping (anything outdoors really), cooking, and reading. She has a background in education and a love of helping and supporting families. Heather is looking forward to becoming a part of GiGi's and the community to support and advocate for people and families with Down syndrome. She is excited to bring more programs and community love to the Layton area and hopes to be a vital part in making GiGi's Layton a positive, educational, and amazing place for families all around!
