Celebrating a Year of Achievement at GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough
It has been an AMAZING first year for everyone at GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough! It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our grand opening, and here we are a year later celebrating our first anniversary.
Everyone involved with the Playhouse, staff, board, families, friends and volunteers alike, have enjoyed our interactions with the Down syndrome community, and the proof is in the numbers. To date, we have 200 families with an individual with Down syndrome who have become involved with GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough.
To help those families, over 2,100 hours of volunteer time has been donated since our doors opened on January 11, 2015. Over 800 times has an individual with Down syndrome walked into the Playhouse to participate in a program, be tutored, attend a special event or just to hang out.
The affect we have had on the Down syndrome community of New Jersey has been huge! Friendships have been formed, confidence has been boosted and skills have been learned. Together we have truly educated others to be inspired by a person with Down syndrome and believe in them as well! Looking forward, things can only get better!
Great job Hillsborough! You guys are awesome! Here’s to many many more years of achievement! <3
Thank you Heather! It helps having awesome Playhouses like yours to go to when we need help.
