About the interns!

Hello, my name is Melissa and I am one of the new interns at GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley! I am currently a senior at Aurora University majoring in Social Work.I am so excited to be apart of GiGi’s and get to work with all of our amazing families. I live in Itasca, IL with my husband and our recently adopted 4 month old puppy! My plans after my internship is over at GiGi’s is to go to grad school and obtain my Masters in Social Work. I can’t wait to meet all of the families that are apart of GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley and I look forward to helping your children learn and grow.

Hello! My name is Makayla and I am a senior at Aurora Unviersity and I am studying social work. I also currently have my minor in sign language. I will be graduating with my BSW in May 2018. I am excited to be starting at GiGi’s as an intern! I can’t wait to start working and learning with all of you. Just a little bit about me… I am from Gurnee. IL and i have 2 sisters. My plans for the future are to move to Florida after I graduate and find a job working with children with disabilities.I have a very strong passion for working with children with down syndrome and I can’t wait to start working with the families and individuals here at GiGi’s!
