The GiGi’s Career Development Programs are progressive learning programs designed to motivate adults with Down syndrome. Through these programs, individuals achieve their highest potential through goal-development, wellness, career skills, community engagement and meaningful work opportunities.

To enhance career skills, CaS, from King Arthur’s Trolley, provided ServSafe training to our Ambassadors from GiGi’s Genesis Health Bar! We had eleven Ambassadors attend to learn more about food safety  and other skills that will help them be successful in the food service industry. The class ended with a multiple choice test, which all eleven passed with flying colors.

GiGi’s Career Development Programs, such as GiGi’s Genesis Health Bar, have various positive impacts on adults with Down syndrome and on the community at large. Every interaction and friendly conversation reminds the community that stereotypes and discrimination toward people with Down syndrome must change. In doing so, more employers will seriously consider hiring ready and willing candidates with Down syndrome allowing communities, companies and people to grow stronger together. Join us in congratulating our eleven certified Ambassadors!
