A Star Is Born

Sara started coming to GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne in 2018 and is a proud GiGi University graduate. She enjoys everything about GiGi’s Playhouse. Sara likes making smoothies for customers at GiGi’s Genesis Health Bar and coming up with new recipe ideas. She can often be found giggling with her friend and fellow GiGi U graduate, Kristy. In Spring 2022, Sara approached Holly, the Executive Director, about working towards her lifelong goal of being on tv. Sara would love to share her journey to stardom with you all.

When I saw my friends from GiGi’s Playhouse doing interviews on the news, I set a goal to be on tv. I conquered my fear of being scared and nervous by having patience with myself and taking deep breaths. I walked into Holly’s office in May and asked her if we could do videos at the Playhouse to work on my confidence and public speaking. Holly said, “Let’s do it!”

I made some smoothies from my recipe book and we made a few videos. I just love to make smoothies and talk. I feel good inside when I am around people and make them smile. When Holly asked me if I wanted to go with her to be on Living Local 15, I felt awesome. I killed it. I really hope to be on the news again someday soon.

Great job Sara! Was hoping for a link so I could see your interview. I am inspired by the way you set a goal, got help, made a plan and followed through!
