Volunteer Appreciation Month – Taylor DeVine

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and at GiGi’s Playhouse we are so thankful for our volunteers! GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo is 99% volunteer ran in both programs and daily operations. GiGi’s wanted to take the opportunity to feature our wonderful volunteers and thank them for all the hard work investing in our program participants and their families!

Today we are featuring Taylor DeVine. Taylor is a Program Leader for the Leaps and Bounds program! He joined the Playhouse in January of this year because his friends recommended the opportunity to him. He loved the idea of working with kids and developing the skills GiGi’s prides in teaching participants, such as independence. He loves building the connections with the kids in the program, even if he only sees them online every other Saturday. He’s invested in GiGi’s because of the relationships he has developed and the continued growth in participants. Taylor stated, “it is a very rewarding experience.” Overall, Taylor just loves watching the kids grow, become more independent, and break the stigma often placed on kids with Downs syndrome. Taylor stated, “it has been a super awesome experience and I love the environment the Playhouse has to offer both participants and volunteers.” Taylor is excited to welcome the preschool aged kids back into the Playhouse this summer!

Thank you Taylor for your passion, dedication and investment in GiGi’s Playhouse program participants and their families! To learn more about how you can get involved at GiGi’s Playhouse in Fargo visit www.gigisplayhouse.org/fargo/volunteer
