Ready, Set, Celebrate 5 Years in Fargo
Goals and plans for 2020 may have looked a lot different at the beginning of the year. GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo did not let the COVID-19 pandemic stop us from serving our families! Every fall, GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo families look forward to the Annual Walk & Fest! It is a day to celebrate Down syndrome, our families, and come together as a community! This year the GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo Walk & Fest committee had to pivot their efforts to make this celebration virtual. As we walked GiGi’s INSPIRED one neighborhood at a time on September 20, 2020!
The week leading up to the walk GiGi’s was INSPIRED by our community, volunteers, and families by paving the way to celebrate ACCEPTANCE! GiGi’s did this throughout the community with virtual Bingo, through the arts with Mrs. Karly leading virtual dance and Adapt Music Fargo, we celebrated program participates Best of All, and five years of purposeful programs in Fargo!
Inspire Your Community Bingo
GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo kicked-off the annual Walk & Fest via Facebook Live and GoToMeeting where families were able to come together, connect, and celebrate Down syndrome and acceptance! GiGi’s celebrated over 20,000 program participation hours over the last five years as well as the countless hours of volunteers who invested in GiGi’s families with over 20,000 volunteer hours!
Thank you for walking one mile on September 20th to celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and their families as we make every step count, every hour of every day!
