We have converted some of our GiGi’s signature group programs into at-home programming you can use to keep your kids engaged and learning while schools and GiGi’s Playhouse Detroit are closed.

Playhouse Pals

Theme: Under the Sea

Grab your ocean themed books and dream about the beach with your child.

Ocean themed books:

  • The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister
  • Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle
  • Commotion in the Ocean by Giles Andreae

Gross Motor Actvity: Talk about different animals that live in the ocean. Act out each animal you think of- don’t forget to add the sounds as well!

Kids Club

Theme: Picnic 

Grab a blanket and have a picnic in your living room! You can talk about different foods that may be easier to bring on the go and some that probably should be left for the dinner table. You can also talk about things you’d like to do on a picnic, such as playing a sport or going for a walk! Use your imagination!

Gross Motor Activity: Blow bubbles together! See who can pop the most bubbles at once!

Teen Tastic

Theme: The Zoo

Visit the Zoo from the comfort of your couch. Talk with your teen about their favorite animals they like to see at the Zoo.  Focus on using good listening skills when others are sharing their favorite zoo animal.
