Our New Normal

Our ‘new normal’ continues to shift each day lately with new developments to children’s remote learning programs, capricious spring weather, additions of gloves or masks to our regular wardrobe as well as local and national news feeds.  Many of these changes bring uncertainty into our minds and homes.  One thing that has helped my family find more comfort and joy in our new, home-bound lifestyle is the wide selection of GiGi’s At Home programming.

Offering these programs was a GiGi’s Inc. initiative on the docket for 2021.  But when COVID-19 spread across our country in mid-March, the dauntless team heading the national network of GiGi’s Playhouses decided that instead of waiting another year to launch these life-changing and research-backed resources, they would do it in roughly 10 days!

In the first week the GiGi’s At Home Resources logged the following impressive stats:

  • Over 65+ LIVE National & Local Programs
  • 3,000+ views of ON DEMAND videos
  • 5,000+ LIVE participants as of 4/21/2020
  • 308 new families (including 10 new babies)

For the 17+ LIVE programs weekly you do need to RSVP in advance via the online calendar for security reasons and to receive the meeting login information.  Some classes have a list of items that are helpful to have ready beforehand as well.  But for the 100+ On Demand videos you can access at your leisure and try them out when the moment is right.

Even though GiGi’s Playhouse Denver has yet to open our doors, families in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fort Collins and beyond are now able to access virtually the magic of GiGi’s purposeful progressions in their own homes.  These programs are possible thanks to the relentless dedication of the staff at the national office, dedicated volunteers who are hosting these LIVE programs from their homes and the financial support of our amazing donors.

We look forward to seeing you soon in a LIVE class!  Be sure to share your pictures and videos on our Facebook and Instagram pages!
