June Was an Exciting Month at Our Playhouse — And July Is Shaping Up to Be Even More Electric
As we wrap up the excitement of GFAC and set our sights on the upcoming Gala, we’re filled with gratitude and enthusiasm for everything happening at the playhouse. June brought so much joy, connection, and growth—and we can’t wait to keep the momentum going! July is packed with enriching programs designed to inspire, educate, and empower our participants. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming up this month:
STEM Lab with Ms. Jess — Thursdays at 2 PM
We are thrilled to be serving on the committee to bring STEM to GiGi’s and now it’s time to pilot this brand-new program! Led by the amazing Ms. Jess, our STEM Lab is an exciting space where curiosity takes center stage.
This innovative program is tailored for individuals ages 13 and up, providing an opportunity to explore STEM concepts in a fun, hands-on, and collaborative environment. Whether we’re building, experimenting, or problem-solving, the goal is the same: to strengthen cognitive skills, boost confidence, and spark a lifelong love of learning. 🎵 Music Therapy — Saturday, July 12th | 10 – 11 AM for 3-6 year olds, 11AM-12PM for 6-12 year olds
Get ready to sing, move, and groove—Music Therapy is coming to GiGi’s Deerfield! This special session, led by a board-certified music therapist, invites two age groups—3-6 and 6-12 years old—to experience the joy of music in a way that’s therapeutic, inclusive, and just plain fun.
Whether your child loves to play instruments, dance along to a beat, or sing their heart out, this program offers a warm, welcoming space for creative expression. Music Therapy supports social, emotional, and developmental growth. No experience needed—just bring your love for rhythm and fun! Register HERE! 🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic — July 10th 4-6PM
We’re BEARY excited to host our very first Teddy Bear Clinic! This imaginative and nurturing program is designed to help children feel more comfortable with medical settings through play and exploration.
Participants will bring their favorite stuffed animal friends and walk through the steps of a typical doctor’s visit in a safe, supportive environment. With the help of nursing students, kids will learn about stethoscopes, checkups, and other health tools—while “caring” for their teddy bear patients. It’s a gentle, empowering way to reduce anxiety and build familiarity with healthcare experiences. Sign up for your “appointment” HERE!
