Kaitie Stoddard
Kaitie’s first child expanded her world when she was born with Down syndrome. Kaitie has a background as a licensed counselor and a marketing and events professional. She and her husband moved from Chicago to Colorado after grad school and don’t miss those Midwest winters one bit. She enjoys hiking with her husband and two kids, being a part of the local church, and connecting with other special needs parents.
Rachel Goldstein
Rachel was born and raised in Colorado and never plans to leave. She attended college at UCCS and has had a love for Colorado Springs ever since. She lives with her husband Spencer and their daughter Nora, who has Down syndrome. Their family volunteers with the Switchbacks FC Unified Team, which creates opportunities for people with disabilities to be included in sports.
Sarah Sparks
Sarah is friends with Kaitie Stoddard, whose daughter Margot has Down syndrome. Sarah is interested in GiGi's Playhouse as a way to support and celebrate those in the community with Down Syndrome. She has a background in nursing and is passionate about childhood education. Sarah lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband and three children.
Steph Kerscher
Steph was born and raised in Nebraska but made her way to Colorado as quickly as she could. She lives with her husband Patrick and their three children: Caroline, Callie, and SJ, better known as Crazytown. Caroline is an amazing 15-year-old and has Down syndrome.
Samantha Carter
Samantha, originally born and raised in Colorado Springs, has relocated back to the area with her husband, Sean, and their three children: Aerith, Auron and Vivienne. Samantha has an extensive background in volunteer work. Previously, she played an active role in the special needs community as vice chair for her local Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee as well as the military family representative for the Special Education State Advisory Committee for the state of Maryland. She is looking forward to sharing resources and creating a positive space for the Down syndrome community.
Luke Chambers
Luke is a third-generation Colorado Native and lives in the Colorado Springs area with his wife Rebecca and their son Calian who has Down Syndrome. Luke worked in the Social Services field in a range of positions helping reach at risk youth and working to assist community families and provide stabilization services. Luke now is Calian's in home health provider and works in sales in his free time.
