Berman Subaru Making the World a Better Place

Berman Subaru of Chicago believes in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is their commitment to show love and respect to their customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.  Berman Subaru of Chicago partnered with GiGi’s Playhouse to donate for every new Subaru purchase as part of the 2018-19 Share the Love event.

The Berman Subaru team raised $60,949 for GiGi’s! Their team sold over 300 cars to make this donation possible, and with special contributions from Subaru of America.  This is the largest single donation GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago has ever received!   We are forever grateful to all of the Berman Subaru employees, customers, partners, and the hard work of many that was able to make this possible.

The Rest of the Story….

The Berman Subaru team truly involved in community.   A simple email about our Get Down With Down Syndrome Dance-A-Thon sparked their interest.   They sponsored and attended our 4th annual dance-a-thon event in 2018.  The relationship grew from there!

They selected GiGi’s as their hometown charity partner for the Share the Love Event.   During November 15, 2018 through January 2, 2019, for every new car sold, Berman would donate $250 to charity.   When the final numbers were in, we couldn’t believe it.  We never imagined the donation exceeding $60,000.  We were in awe of the Berman team!

The Berman Subaru team attended our World Down Syndrome Day event.  During the event, they presented us with the check in front of over 150 families, friends and supporters.  Their gift will allow us to continue to provide free educational and therapeutic programs to individuals with Down syndrome of all ages and SO MUCH MORE.  Stay tuned for more details!

Even more, their support doesn’t stop there. We are working together with Berman Subaru of Chicago to explore possible internship opportunities for our participants with Down syndrome. Berman Subaru of Chicago is showing the world what acceptance really looks like and that individuals with Down syndrome deserve the same respect and opportunities as anyone else.
