Upcoming Schedule of Events
(Chicago Style)
Good Morning, GiGi’s Chicago Families.So, as you may recall, the Chicago Playhouse is closed this week as we undertake some renovations. We’d like to give you a quick update on what exactly is going on. Thanks to Comcast Cares (and Rich Baudo, who is the parent of Parker, 16 months), we’re getting a major overhaul of the Playhouse interior. The bathroom will be redone, the walls throughout will be repainted (with some more splashes of color) and we’ll be adding more storage and shelving. At the same time, we’re trying a new layout, moving the stage to the north wall and the couches/sitting area to the south wall. All of these changes, we think, will add more fun and function to the Playhouse.We couldn’t have done this without Comcast and Rich’s help, so we offer them (and the volunteers they recruited) a huge THANK YOU. Come check it out when we re-open the doors the week of the 13th (which is also when our Summer Session begins).

Don’t Forget: 5KThe GiGi’s Playhouse Chicagoland 5K Fun Run and 1-Mile Walk is fast approaching. (Sunday, June 12 at the Arboretum of South Barrington.) So you won’t feel lonely or intimidated, we’ve set up a Chicago team. Just select “Chicago Playhouse” under Team Affiliation on the registration page.

From there, you can set up your own fundraising page, soliciting support and donations from friends and family around the country (and world, if you’re that spread out). The money you raise from this event comes back to the Playhouse to support our operations and programming.

Can’t make it out to the ‘burbs, or don’t feel like running? You can also show your support by making a straight donation to the team. Head over to the registration page, click the “Donate to a Friend or Team” button, and either search or scroll to the Chicago Playhouse team. Then just click the “Sponsor” link.
