A Message from Hafsa

 

Our Playhouse had a special visitor the past two months named Hafsa! While visiting from France, she came to the Playhouse for programs and to help with intern tasks! One of those tasks being to write a blog to share her story with our Playhouse families! Learn about Hafsa and her time here at GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago below:

 

French :

Je m’appelle Hafsa et j’ai 24 ans. J’habite en France et je suis venue en vacances chez ma sœur qui habite à Chicago. J’ai découvert Gigi’s Playhouse en me promenant dans la rue. J’ai été très bien accueillis par les membres du centre qui m’ont très vite intégré aux autres internes. Malgré la barrière de la langue, nous arrivons à nous comprendre et à communiquer. J’adore aller chez Gigi’s car cela me permet de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et de faire pleins d’activités. Ce que je préfère, ce sont les ateliers culinaires. J’aime aussi beaucoup le yoga et les activités artistiques comme faire de la peinture. Tout le monde est très gentil avec moi et je garderai un très beau souvenir des moments passés chez Gigi’s. Vous allez me manquer et j’espère avoir l’occasion de revenir vous voir !

 

English :

My name is Hafsa and I am 24 years old. I live in France and I came on vacation to visit my sister who lives in Chicago. I discovered GiGi’s Playhouse while walking down the street. I was very well received by the members of the center who very quickly integrated me in with the other interns. Despite the language barrier, we manage to understand each other and communicate. I love going to GiGi’s because it allows me to meet new people and do lots of activities. What I prefer are the culinary workshops. I also really like yoga and artistic activities like painting. Everyone is very nice to me and I will keep very fond memories of the times spent at GiGi’s. I will miss you and hope to have the opportunity to see you again!
