The Impact GiGi’s Has Had On a Single Mom in Our Community

“As a single mother moving to Charlotte, we were far away from our village. My daughter Amelia had a difficult time making friends since there are no kids in our complex. Once the Covid restrictions were lightened, I needed to find something to keep her occupied.

Along came GiGi’s Playhouse. It has honestly been such an amazing experience. The staff are truly incredible. We found our community of friends that have become such a support for both of us. I loved it so much that I decided to become a volunteer.

Now it’s been almost a year, and we are a host family to assist new families in navigating GiGi’s and our community. I help with multiple activities and help out anywhere they need me. We are hoping in the future, Amelia can be a one-girl welcome committee. The spark in her eye when she arrives makes this mama’s heart melt. Thank you, GiGi’s for becoming our new village.”
