Welcome to Our New Site Coordinator!!!!!

Beth Kazmierczak has had a personal connection with GiGi’s Playhouse Tinley Park for the last year. Her daughter Nora was born in July of 2014 with an at-birth diagnosis of both Down Syndrome and Symbrachydactyly (right hand anomaly). Beth and her husband Jim were fortunate enough to have Dr. Ranae Yockey of Advanced Women’s Care Center in Elk Grove recommend seeking out GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center. Beth first started attending GiGi’s Playhouse (at the time in Oak Forest) when Nora was three weeks old. She usually attends the 2 and Under Program with Nora who is now 1, and her son Benjamin who is 2. She and her family participated in last year’s “Get Moving With GiGi’s” Walk and also went to the “I Have a Voice” Gala. In June, she was appointed to the Board to head up marketing & public relations for the Playhouse. Last Friday, she was offered the Site Coordinator position and has agreed to begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

Beth has previously worked in the field of Recreation, and had been the Director of Recreation at the Blue Island Park District for the past year and a half. She had been in the field of Recreation full time for seven years. Her passion for recreation began at the age of 15, when she began working as a lifeguard for the City of Elgin. She continued to work in aquatics and recreation through both high school and college and held full time positions at Bartlett, Kankakee Valley, and Clarendon Hills Park Districts. She also holds her graduate degree in Recreation.

Beth is SO excited to begin at GiGi’s Playhouse Tinley Park. She is very honored and humbled to have been asked to be the next Site Coordinator there. She knows that she has BIG shoes to fill as Diane has done such an amazing job, and she is VERY excited to work with both familiar and new families. Beth sees GiGi’s as a Community and feels very lucky to be a part of such an amazing place and is very grateful for the opportunity! Please stop by and say hi…she is looking forward to meeting you!
