Welcome to our NEW Program Coordinator-Mady Stein!

Mady and Norbert

Almost 3 years ago Mady walked through the doors of GiGi’s Playhouse Oak Forest and was greeted with a hug and a warm smile. It was from this moment on that she committed a portion of her life to GiGi’s. Mady is a special education major at Lewis University in Romeoville. She is in her junior year and will be graduating in December of 2017. Mady started her journey at Lewis in 2013 as a nursing major. She thought for sure that this was what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. After completing her second year of nursing school, she was questioning if nursing was what she was really good at. Mady changed her major to special education in the fall of 2015 and has loved every minute of it. Without GiGi’s, she is not sure if she would have ever changed her major. She fell in love with everything about GiGi’s and has been committed to helping out in any way she can.

Mady was asked to be on the Board of Directors in August 2015 and stepped down to take on the Programs Coordinator position this week. Since beginning volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse, Mady has consistently worked with the teen program, is co-leader of Skill Builders- a fine motor program, and also has taken on leading Book Club this year. Mady is always involved in anything she can. She frequently attends programs just to help out or be a part of the community. She believes in the global acceptance messages of the Playhouse and continues to promote GiGi’s everywhere she goes.
