Program Highlight: Amina Grace Speech and Language with Governors State University!

From left to right: Vicki, Kelly and Meghan from Governors State University

Last week, we wrapped up our second session of the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program here at GiGi’s Playhouse Tinley Park for the summer. We are partnering with Governors State University and their Master of Health Science in Communication Disorders program, and the Amina Grace Memorial Fund. This allows us to offer speech therapy to our families for FREE! This summer we had Vicki, Kelly and Meghan facilitating from Governors State.

Speech therapy is a valuable asset and resource for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Through this partnership with Governors State University and Amina Grace, we are able to make this resource accessible for participants of all ages at our Tinley Park Playhouse. We are excited to see this program continue to grow, and we are already very encouraged by the positive impact it has had on our participants.

A big shout-out to Vicki, Kelly and Meghan for all their hard work. THANK YOU for your time and expertise!
