Meet Bianca De Rango: New Operations & Outreach Coordinator

Hello! My name is Bianca, and I recently started as the Operations & Outreach Coordinator here at GiGi’s Playhouse Tinley Park. I’m joining as a new full time staff member that you will see at the Playhouse. I just moved to Tinley Park in June. I’m excited to see where this next chapter of my life leads me as I take on this awesome opportunity with GiGi’s Playhouse and become part of my new community!

I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Human Development & Learning. Since then, I’ve spent the last 5 years of my career working in the non-profit field and have experience coaching individuals with disabilities. I was interested in working at GiGi’s Playhouse because I think the message of changing the way the world views Down syndrome and sending a global message of acceptance for all is really important and a great mission to get involved in.

When I’m not at work, I’m a foodie, gardener, shopping enthusiast and adventurer. I love cooking and trying new foods (give me ALL the restaurant recommendations please) and this summer I’m growing tomatoes. I love going shopping or thrifting with my friends, and finding new places to explore. I’m also getting married this October!

So far, I’ve already met a lot of families and volunteers at the Tinley Park Playhouse. I’m blown away by everyone’s dedication and kindness. I’m really looking forward to continuing to meet and get to know you all. Please come say hi when you see me and thank you to everyone who has already welcomed me so warmly!
