Miss Angie: Music & Mission

There is something magical about the moment a beloved musician takes the stage – and that magic was alive and well at our 2025 Gala! From the first chord to the final number, the dance floor was FULL of smiling faces, twirling couples and pure joy. Our very own Miss Angie, with her amazing band “The Misters” didn’t just fill the room with music – they filled it with energy, laughter and connection. It was more than entertainment, it was a celebration of community and purpose.

Many families already knew Miss Angie from the popular Saturday program, Music Makers: Music In Motion with Miss Angie’s Music. Angie Pope has volunteered her time and talents to our Tinley Park Playhouse since 2020, and we are so grateful for this. On the third Saturday of every month, participants of all ages and their families learn about different music styles and instruments. This program builds self-confidence, strengthens social skills, communication and motor skills through the therapeutic use of music and dance.

“Moving and singing are the two of the most fun AND most important things you can do with your child! I would love the chance to introduce you and your child to some awesome music, dances, games and stories that will not only bring joy to you both, but also assist in creating a basic appreciation for music as well as some basic developmental skills.” – https://www.missangiemusic.com/about

From the stage at the Playhouse to the stage at the Gala – what a joy to get to see Miss Angie with The Misters filling our event with the same warmth, heart and joy she shares with our community. Their repertoire was varied and popular and their energy was amazing. They filled the dance floor and helped create memorable moments for everyone in attendance. Oh what a night!

Come join in the fun!
The next Music Makers: Music In Motion with Miss Angie’s Music program
is on Saturday, November 15th at 10:00am.
This program is recommended for all ages!
