Thank You!
As our Birthday Month draws to a close, we would like to express a huge THANK YOU to all of our participants, volunteers, and donors! You all truly make GiGi’s what it is, and we could never do it without you!
This month has been a great birthday month for sure, with the start of GiGi Prep, the FIRST Volunteer of the Month being named, several successful programs going on daily, we have so much to celebrate!
“GiGi’s Playhouse Layton services 50-70 participants with Down syndrome each month, with participation hours (everyone included) of an average of 225 hours. We have an average of almost 400 volunteer hours a month, have about 800 people that support us in some way (receive newsletter, volunteer, donate, etc), and have about 225 families that have someone with Down syndrome that receive our newsletter and benefit from our support network. We have over 1400 followers on Facebook.” -Becky Payne (site coordinator)
“Our whole family loves GiGi’s Playhouse Layton! We don’t want to try and imagine life without it. We have two adult kids with Down syndrome. GiGi’s programs have changed their lives. They are both involved with GiGi Prep now, and have already learned so much. We so appreciate the donors, volunteers, and staff that make GiGi’s such an important part of lives. I cannot describe how much we benefit from GiGi’s.
We LOVE you GiGi’s Playhouse Layton!” -Pam Holman
“As our children with Down syndrome grow older, the gap between their typical peers grows broader. Social interactions slowly drop off and our children become less likely to be involved in typical activities and become more isolated. GiGi’s has opened a much needed door for social activities, developing friendships, continuing education, developing life skills and offering support to those of us whose children are aging out of the supports from public education. We are especially grateful that GiGi’s can help fill that void. Thanks for an awesome 2 years in helping Kaitlyn live a fulfilled and happy life!” -Jeff and Debbie Richardson
“I love GiGi’s Playhouse! I love all of the classes. My favorite is Literacy Tutoring with the best tutor in the world, Brittanie. I also like Fantastic Friends, Drama Troupe, Cooking, and Art Explosion. Now I participate in GiGi Prep and I love it too! I like the free gift cards to Chick-Fil-A and Coldstone, and others! I donate my money to GiGi’s because I love it!” -Jazzy Holman
“I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to serve the Down syndrome community in a way I never would have been able to. I feel that being a part of GiGi’s Playhouse, Layton has given myself as well as my family an appreciation and love for a community we knew nothing about. Our lives are richer and we are amazed at the awesomeness that it provides! Happy 2nd Birthday!!” -Michelle Roberts
Thank you for everything these past two years! Here’s to looking forward to so much more!!
