Say “Good-bye” to 2016, and “HELLO” 2017!!

It is that time again; time to say “Good-bye” to a past year, and “Hello!” to a new one.
We have had an AMAZING 2016 at the Playhouse, with lots of new volunteers and participants. Our programs and volunteers have helped enrich so many lives. From Bike camp, to Gratitude Committee, and all things in-betwee… this year has definitely one for the books!

This was the first year of our Bike Camp, and it really was a HUGE success. We had a lot of participants, and our bike coaches were great instructors! Some of our participants had never learned to ride a bike before, but ultimately rode away with a huge accomplishment under their bike helmet!

Our Gratitude Committee spent the year thanking various businesses and volunteers that have helped the Playhouse and Down Syndrome community improve for the better. They showed us that gratitude is truly a great way to share love and light in our community, and that we have so much to be grateful for.

2016 was also our kick off year for our new Drama troupe! They have had several performances, and this program is definitely a big hit at the Playhouse. We are looking forward to more performances from them in the upcoming year!

This year we teamed up with Flippers Gymnastics and Cheer for the parade season. We had a lot of fun attending the parades with their cheer team! It was also a great opportunity to get our Playhouse out into the community and to reach people who have not heard about us yet!

We have some awesome things coming in 2017, with a lot more opportunity to become involved and to participate. We know at Gigi’s Playhouse we survive only on the loving hearts of our volunteers, and donors, and participants! Thank you everyone who was involved in our 2016. We look forward to seeing you in 2017!!
