Updates from our GiGi Prep Crew!
This Fall Session we started our second round of GiGi Prep! We would like to introduce our four hardworking participants Chris, Caroline, Emily, and Erin!
Each session, our participants keep a journal to record their thoughts and how they are feeling about their participation in this program. The first question they were asked to respond to was “What does GiGi Prep mean to you?”
These are some of our participants responses!
“GiGi Prep has given me experience to learn new things and grow different skills such as communication, exercise, and money skills. GiGi’s Playhouse to me is like a family and accepts who I am. I am so grateful. It has given me more independence and a more positive mindset.”-Emily
“GiGi Prep is fun and I get to explore the good in the world. I love learning about communication and making better, healthy choices every day. In GiGi Prep we focus on topics such as strength, communication, wellness, nutrition, exercise, etc. Also, in GiGi Prep, we talk about growing as a person, building independence, and taking initiative in the classroom.”-Chris
This sessions focus is “Our Goodness is our Greatness.” Our participants are learning every day on how they each can do their part in the world, and how they can learn from others.
They have started conducting a series of interviews to learn more about how others put good into the world and how they inspire others.
They interviewed our very own Operations Coordinator, Casey for their first round.
“It was great to learn more about the participants and their backgrounds. I’ve only been here a few months, and I am inspired every day by their drive and hardworking attitude. It was a pleasure to share my thoughts and practices on how I try and spread goodness in the world.”-Casey
Stay tuned for our next update from Erin and Caroline and also read about the second interview with our very own board member Steve Fornarola!
