July Best of All: Celebrating Reid’s Incredible Growth

At GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester, we celebrate every milestone, every achievement, and every moment of growth. Our Best of All recognition honors participants who demonstrate perseverance, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude while working toward their personal goals. It is a reminder that success looks different for everyone, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated.

This month, we are thrilled to recognize Reid as our Participant Best of All from the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program.

Although Reid is new to the program this summer, he has already made a lasting impression on everyone around him. From his very first sessions, he has approached therapy with excitement, curiosity, and a willingness to try new things. His positive attitude and consistent engagement have made him a joy to work with, earning him this well-deserved recognition.

Throughout each session, Reid actively participates in activities and enjoys connecting with Kristin. He especially loves language-based tasks and embraces new challenges with confidence. His eagerness to learn shines through in everything he does, making each session both productive and fun.

During therapy, Reid is building important communication and literacy skills that will support him both inside and outside the Playhouse. He is working on slowing his rate of speech to improve clarity, answering “wh” questions to strengthen his understanding, and using three or more word utterances to communicate effectively in a variety of situations. His sessions also include literacy-focused activities that help develop reading skills, letter-sound awareness, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

What makes Reid’s journey so inspiring is not just the goals he is working toward, but the enthusiasm and determination he brings to every session. He demonstrates that growth comes from showing up, trying your best, and celebrating progress one step at a time. His motivation and positive spirit embody what the Best of All philosophy is all about.

We are incredibly proud of everything Reid has accomplished in such a short time and look forward to watching his communication and literacy skills continue to flourish throughout the summer.

A special thank you to Kristin Housel, Speech-Language Pathologist and Playhouse Director, for sharing Reid’s story and for the dedication she brings to helping our participants achieve their Best of All every day.

Congratulations, Reid! We can’t wait to see all that you’ll accomplish next.
