August Best of All-Gabby

This month, we’re thrilled to recognize Gabby as our Best of All!

Gabby has been with GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester since the very beginning, and it has been an absolute joy to watch her grow over the years. From Kids Club and tutoring to all kinds of special events, Gabby has done it all. With each passing year, her confidence and independence continue to soar.

When Gabby first started coming to the Playhouse, she was shy and often hesitant to talk or interact with others. But today, she’s a completely different girl. Now she walks through the door with a smile, says hello to staff and volunteers and eagerly greets both new and familiar faces. She’s become a natural at making connections and honestly, she never stops surprising us. Every time we see her confidently introduce herself or go up to someone new, it reminds us just how far she has come.

Gabby currently participates in math and speech tutoring, and her growth in both areas has been incredible. In math she’s been working on addition, subtraction and greater/less than skills, and is showing more confidence when approaching and solving new problems and concepts.

In speech, Gabby has been working on expanding her utterance length, improving speech clarity, and talking about a wide variety of topics. She has also been focusing on maintaining appropriate social exchanges, which has helped her become more comfortable and confident in everyday conversations.

What we’re most proud of is Gabby’s ability to truly shine as herself. Her silly, energetic personality light up any room she’s in.

Gabby, thank you for showing us what it means to grow, to try, and to always keep surprising those around you. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what you do next!
