Dear Friends of GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County,
We did it! We provided 100% free programs and events to the local Down syndrome community for over 365 days!
We are changing the world together! Just hear it from one of our GiGi’s program participants:
Teen Tastic is so important to Bella and her Grandmother, Maureen, that she drives almost two hours round trip (in traffic) to bring Bella to GiGi’s Playhouse every Tuesday night. The car rides used to be sparce in conversation, but NOW Bella talks all about her new friends and activities. Maureen is thrilled to hear her granddaughter’s excitement in being a part of this special group at GiGi’s. It is exactly what Maureen wanted for Bella and more: new friends, new experiences, and new memories to be shared.
We are so happy to have Bella and Maureen part of the GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County family and to hear how her conversational speech has exploded!
This year we accomplished so much:
- Welcomed 270 families into the GiGi’s family
- Launched programs for ALL age groups
- Launched the pilot program for Literacy Tutoring
- Established great relationships with our volunteers
Our 2024 goals:
- Launch Literacy Tutoring
- Launch GiGi’s Kitchen
- Expand our Community Outreach program
