GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville is a volunteer-powered organization. From program leaders and tutors to event coordinators and board members, our volunteers bring diverse talents and unwavering commitment. Their efforts ensure that our therapeutic-based and educational programs remain vibrant, impactful, and free for all families.​

What makes our volunteer family so extraordinary is its diversity. Our volunteers include high school and college students earning service hours or exploring career paths, young professionals and business leaders looking to make a difference in their community, retired individuals who want to give back, and educators who bring their expertise and compassion to our programs. This beautiful blend of ages, backgrounds, and life experiences enriches every corner of our Playhouse and strengthens the bonds within our community.

The Impact of Volunteerism

Since our inception, GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville has relied on the generosity of volunteers to provide free, purposeful programs to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Our volunteers contribute in various ways, including:​

• Tutoring: Providing one-on-one literacy and math tutoring to participants of all ages.​
• Program Leadership: Leading group programs that focus on physical fitness, social skills, and career development.​
• Event Support: Assisting with fundraising events, community outreach, and administrative tasks.​
• Board and Committee Volunteers: Guiding the strategic vision of the Playhouse and ensuring we meet our mission. These dedicated individuals offer their time, talents, and professional expertise to strengthen our operations and expand our reach.
