Josh’s dedication to volunteering is truly remarkable. He consistently shows up with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make a difference. His efforts go beyond simply showing up—he takes the time to get to know each participant, fostering a sense of belonging that aligns with our mission. Josh’s commitment and compassion continue to inspire both participants and fellow volunteers, making him an invaluable part of the GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville community.

Participant Spotlight: Callie Pelfrey

Callie brings joy and laughter to every program she attends at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville. As a school-age participant, she looks forward to GiGi’s Kitchen Kids, where she learns essential cooking skills while bonding with friends. Her sweet and silly nature makes her a delightful presence, and her laughter is often contagious. Callie is always willing to lend a helping hand and cheer on her peers, showcasing her kind and supportive spirit.

One of Callie’s favorite ways to express herself is through music. During Music Makers, she shines as she sings and moves to the rhythm with her friends. Her creativity and enthusiasm light up the room, inspiring others to join in and share the joy of making music together. Whether she’s clapping along to a favorite song or trying out a new instrument, Callie’s energy is magnetic and uplifting.

In addition to her talents and love for music, Callie is known for being a great friend. She has a natural ability to make others feel included and valued, creating a welcoming atmosphere wherever she goes. Her sweet and fun personality makes her a beloved member of the GiGi’s Playhouse community, and she continues to inspire everyone around her to embrace their unique talents and share their joy with others.

Tutor Spotlight: Dani Gupton

Dani, an adult participant at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville who has attended since 2017, continues to inspire with her dedication to personal growth and community. Over the years, Dani has found joy and connection in programs like Teen Tastic and GiGi’s Kitchen, where she has built friendships and honed valuable skills. Her enthusiasm for GiGi’s mission has made her a cherished part of the Playhouse community.

This year, Dani has taken an incredible step by deciding to give back as a volunteer math tutor. She will work with an 11-year-old participant, sharing her love of math to help inspire a younger generation. Dani’s passion for learning and her nurturing nature make her an ideal mentor, and she is eager to make a meaningful impact.

We are so proud of Dani for embracing this new role and giving back to the community that has been such a big part of her journey. Her commitment and enthusiasm demonstrate the power of connection and growth fostered by GiGi’s Playhouse. Dani’s journey is a beautiful reminder of how much we can achieve when supported and empowered to shine.
