Volunteer Spotlight: Courtney Wright & Sharon Sabol

Courtney and Sharon bring invaluable expertise and passion to GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville. As dedicated members of the Board of Managers, they help shape the vision and direction of the Playhouse while also volunteering for LMNOP, an early learning program designed to promote language development. Both share a deep commitment to supporting participants and their families, creating a welcoming and enriching environment for everyone involved.

Courtney’s background as a speech-language pathologist uniquely equips her to enhance LMNOP sessions. She uses her professional knowledge to guide parents and caregivers in fostering their children’s communication skills. Her warm and patient approach makes her a favorite among participants and families, as she helps children gain confidence in their abilities.

Sharon’s teaching background and personal connection as a proud mom to a child with Down syndrome add a heartfelt dimension to her volunteer work. She brings empathy, understanding, and practical insights to her role, encouraging families to embrace every step of their child’s learning journey. Sharon’s perspective and dedication help create a supportive community where families feel empowered and celebrated.

GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville is deeply grateful for Courtney and Sharon’s dedication, expertise, and compassionate service. Participant Spotlight: Elle Boyd

Meet Elle, a school-age participant at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville! Elle loves to attend Music Makers, and brings vibrant energy and a joyful spirit to every session. Her enthusiasm for music is evident as she sings along with her friends, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Whether it’s a classic tune or a playful new melody, Elle’s love for life shines through, inspiring those around her to join in the fun.

A highlight of Elle’s experience at Music Makers is her connection with Maddox, one of the adult participants and a talented musician. Maddox volunteers at the program, and Elle admires him greatly. Their bond is a testament to the inclusive and supportive community at GiGi’s, where participants of all ages inspire and learn from one another.

Elle’s vivacious personality makes her a joy to be around. She has an infectious laugh and a knack for welcoming and appreciating her peers. Her positive energy brightens the room, making every Music Makers session enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved.

Fun and full of life, Elle always brings her unique flair to Music Makers. Whether she’s trying out new instruments or harmonizing with her friends, her creativity and enthusiasm elevate the program to new heights. She encourages others to step out of their comfort zones and embrace the magic of music.

More than anything, Elle is a great friend. She values her relationships with her peers and volunteers, fostering an environment of kindness and support. Her ability to connect with others and spread joy reflects the true spirit of GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville. We love having Elle in the GiGi’s Family!

Tutor Spotlight: Bree Mildenhall

Bree is a Literacy tutor at GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville, where her compassion and dedication shine through her work with participants. She takes time to understand each individual’s learning style, creating a supportive environment that fosters growth and confidence. Her efforts contribute significantly to the participants’ literacy development and overall success.

Beyond tutoring, Bree extends her commitment to GiGi’s by volunteering for GiGi’s Kitchen. This program, which combines cooking skills and life lessons, benefits greatly from her enthusiasm and kindness. Bree’s involvement reflects her deep belief in the mission of GiGi’s Playhouse, and her efforts leave a meaningful impact on participants and fellow volunteers.

Bree’s dedication to service extends to her own family, as she involves her children in volunteering at GiGi’s Kitchen.
