2015 Music City Mardi Gras Gala and Auction

We’d like to thank everyone who supported GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville’s Third annual gala.  Your attendance and support helped make the 2015 gala the most successful event in the history of GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville, raising over $90,000!  This year’s event was full of fun and excitement with our fabulous emcee Tracy Kornet, heart-warming speaker Derek Young, live and silent auction, GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville Girl Scout Troupe, games, and friends and supporters of the Middle Tennessee Down syndrome community.

At this year’s gala, GiGi’s Playhouse is starting a new tradition by honoring one of our distinguished volunteers with the “Gloria & Cindy Knoch Volunteer Spirit Award.” The award, honors our founding benefactors, Gloria Knoch, her daughter Cindy, and the entire Knoch family.  This award embodies Gloria’s giving spirit, and her belief that her daughter Cindy could achieve great things if she was given access to the tools she needed in order to be successful.  Congratulations Angie Atema for receiving this year’s award!  Thank you for all you do for GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville.

There are so many people we would like to thank for making this year’s Gala such an inspiring and incredible event!  Thank you to our Gala Chair, Melissa Wenger, our Gala Committee Members, our Board Members, and each and every one of our supporters and attendees.  A very special thank you to all of our local gala sponsors: Nissan, Dollar General, Fish FM, Nissan of Cool Springs, Genesco, Dr. Harvey Bellin, and Humana!  Without your generosity, we could not continue the important mission of empowering individuals with Down syndrome to achieve their greatest potential.

See you at the 2016 Gala!
