Caryn & Chris get ready to represent GiGi’s on News12 NJ!

A few months after GiGi’s Playhouse Hillsborough opened, I was at a Friday Friends when one of the program participants told me that one day she would have my job. Half an hour later, she told me that she didn’t want me to lose my job but she would help me. Two weeks later Caryn officially became the Playhouse Intern; Chris came on board four months later.

Since Caryn and Chris have started working as interns, I have come to depend on their help every week. Without them I could not keep the Playhouse clean, thank you letters would never go out in a timely manner and my week would be a lot duller. Most importantly, they are active in the role of community outreach and advocating for themselves and their friends. Together they have sought donations for programs, gone into businesses to thank them for their support and have spoken to outside organizations about their work at GiGi’s Playhouse.

Caryn
GiGi’s Playhouse is like a second home to me because it is a wonderful place to have great parties, movie nights and special events like the 5K and Gala. I organize and file paperwork and I also help cook healthy meals at T.E.A.M. Having fun with little kids and teaching them sign language is amazing for me. The thing I like best about Liz is she is a wonderful boss.

Chris
GiGi’s Playhouse is a place for me and my friends to hang out at. It’s always welcoming and we do things like pool parties, Patriots baseball games, movie nights and dance parties. When I got this job as an intern it was a huge honor, I love working here. I enjoy working with Erin and Liz, they always put a smile on my face.

Caryn you are also wonderful and Chris you always put a smile on my face too. Thank you both for being “my interns” without you my work week would not be so awesome, like you!
