Volunteer Spotlight- Sonika

Sonika Menon of the Birthday Giving Program (birthday giving club) approached GiGi’s Playhouse about joining our non-profit organizations to celebrate the birthdays of our participants. It was a perfect fit for Family Fun Night and in August Sonika brought a cake, and in September we celebrated 3 birthdays. Sonika is being recognized for her non-profit work by CNN Heroes, and when asked where she would like to do the taping she asked GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley!!! We enthusiastically said yes, and are honored that Sonika chose us to celebrate her big moment! We had a wonderful October birthday celebration on October 23rd with over 20 people in attendance. We celebrated 5 October birthdays. We celebrated our November birthdays on Friday, November 16th at Family Fun Night 6-8pm. The next Family Fun Night will be our Holiday Party on Friday, December 21st from 6-8pm. The airing of CNN Young Heroes will be on Friday, December 7th! More info on the airing time coming soon.
