Pedaling for the Playhouse!

This month, we celebrate Scott Spray, Safety Director of Modular Transportation Co. as October’s Playhouse Inspiration!

This year, Scott planned to participate in the Tour De Plants from SDI after hearing about GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne for the first time. With a transition to a Virtual Velo, Scott decided to pursue a 275-mile solo ride from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Mackinac, Michigan to raise support for GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne.

Scott’s uncle was very involved in the Special Olympics for years, and Scott admired how his uncle donated thousands of hours to help kids involved with the Special Olympics. He wanted to use his ride to make a difference for GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne. Scott has been cycling his entire life and tries to turn as many miles a week as he can with his busy schedule. His time in the Navy as a former rescue swimmer gave him the confidence to reach out of his comfort zone and take on any challenges that are presented.

His ride raised $400 for GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne! Scott’s ride demonstrates many of our values:

  • Best of All – Challenge yourself ever day.
  • Get it done – Making things happen and blasting through barriers when needed.
  • Believe – Believe in ourselves, our mission and that we can achieve all we set out to achieve.

We are grateful for Scott’s generosity by pedaling for the Playhouse!
