Quarter One was One for the Books!
I blinked…and just like that, quarter one was gone! But WOW – what an incredible start to the year at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo!
We are experiencing phenomenal growth, with program participation skyrocketing 43% from last year, averaging 550-600 program hours each month. And guess what? We are just getting started!
March Madness (The Best Kind)
March was packed with partnerships, purpose, and pure joy. We rocked our socks for World Down Syndrome Day in true North Dakota fashion, teaming up with Designer Genes, The Gifted Bean Coffee Shop, Target and GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo. Over 350 people joined the #NDRocksSocks movement, spreading awareness and celebrating inclusion.

Locally, Sandy’s Donuts sprinkled their support (literally) with blue and yellow treats, and Valley News Live beautifully captured our mission not just on WDSD but throughout the Disco for Down Syndrome Gala.
Speaking of partnerships, our Friends, Fun, and Fitness participants and their families had a blast with the Fargo Force, enjoying a night of hockey and community fun. These moments make our mission come alive.
A Warm Welcome & Big Celebrations
The week of our Disco for Down Syndrome Gala was extra special as we welcomed two new families, a beautiful 2-year-old and a handsome 2-month-old. They left with smiles, knowing they are not alone on their journey and that GiGi’s Playhouse is here to celebrate every step of the way.
The Gala! What. A. Night! Our community showed up in full disco spirit – sequins, platforms, and all – to celebrate inclusion, acceptance and the Decade of Difference. A massive THANK YOU to our volunteers, donors, silent auction contributors and incredible attendees. You made the night truly unforgettable.

Shoutout to our Award Winners
A round of applause for this year’s award recipients. You are the heart of our mission, and we could not do this without out.

The Best is Yet to Come!
The Decade of Difference party has officially begun, and we are just getting started. Stay tuned as we throw it back, celebrate the milestones, and dream BIG for the next decade.
Let’s keep this momentum going, let’s keep changing the way the world views Down syndrome, and let’s keep rocking our socks!
High fives, dance moves and endless gratitude,
Heather Lorenzen
Executive Director, GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo
