Celebrating Taryn and Brittney’s Best of All

Volunteer Spotlight – Brittney & Taryn
Some volunteer duos just radiate joy—and Brittney and Taryn are one of those teams.
This mother-daughter pair jumped into volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo this summer, but their connection to the Playhouse started long before that. Taryn has been participating in programs here for the past year, and now she’s giving back in a big way—co-leading programs and spreading encouragement with every high five and smile.
Together, they’re leading Art Explosion and helping out in LMNOP. And while Brittney may be the one filling out forms and managing logistics, it’s Taryn who shines as a leader. She’s hands-on, confident, and always ready to support her peers. It’s easy to see how much she enjoys the classroom-style setting and how naturally she steps into her role.
For Brittney, it’s been just as rewarding. Volunteering has given her the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and form new bonds—especially with toddler parents in LMNOP. The joy of shared experiences and supportive conversations is what makes GiGi’s feel like home.
What stands out most to them is the energy here. From the moment you walk in, there’s a vibe—positive, inclusive, and full of high expectations. GiGi’s is more than a program space. It’s a place where people are empowered to be their best. But we have to say that a big part of GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo’s welcoming atmosphere is BECAUSE of Brittney and Taryn. When ever they’re in the Playhouse, the day is a little bit brighter, the mood a little bit happier, and the music just a bit peppier.
To Brittney, though, the Playhouse serves as more than a spot to learn a few skills. “As a parent, we strive to find opportunities and environments for our children to thrive. GiGi’s is that place,” Brittney shared. “The staff is amazing and set the bar high for opportunity and connections.”
Brittney and Taryn, thank you for leading with heart and showing us what’s possible when passion meets purpose. We’re so lucky to have you as part of our Playhouse family!
