World Down Syndrome Day Recap

World Down syndrome day is celebrated on March 21st. This year we held a celebration at our playhouse in the late afternoon.

We were are so grateful that we were joined by so many families to celebrate with us. We had around 100 people in attendance and everyone enjoyed activities from talking to resources, carnival games, dancing, eating and socializing!

We had a special visit from participants of MissColorado.org including: Miss Colorado, Miss Fort Collins, Miss Flatiron’s Teen, Miss Pike’s Peak and Mis Westminster’s Teen. They spent a few hours decorating and prepping our playhouse for the event. During the event, they welcomes families and engaged in the fun!

We had a total of 9 vendors who helped us facilitate carnival games and hand out prizes! We really enjoyed seeing the playhouse packed and everyone engaged in fun!

Thank you to our vendors:

  • DDRC
  • Best Buddies
  • Special Olympics Colorado
  • Linda Crnic Institute
  • JeffCo Library
  • United Rocks
