Welcome to Denver Barre Collective!

Welcome to Denver Barre Collective, a women/Latina owned business. I purchased this already existing business in 2023. As the owner of Denver Barre Collective, it has been a dream of mine to support people with Down syndrome and their families. My son Amari Durland has Down syndrome and as a single mother, I know how hard it is to find activities and programs that are inclusive. I understand that people with Down syndrome are people and individual & unique. Therefore, each person needs something different.

I’ve been leading GiGiFIT Adult since the Playhouse opened in Denver in 2021. I have learned how to conduct a fitness class for participants of all different fitness levels. We are able to celebrate all the successes. It is so very meaningful to me that GiGi’s has created multiple programs for people with Down syndrome of all ages to thrive!

Throughout my life, I have used my various modalities to support and donate money to organizations that support individuals with Down syndrome. Finally, this is my own place of business and I am able to conduct a fundraiser as I’d like! Each year we host 6 classes in a row with a 16-person capacity. We offer snacks, drinks, a retail sale, a photographer and a speaker to share about GiGi’s Playhouse, throughout the day. Our classes fill up with participants happy and willing to workout and donate to the Playhouse. It’s magnificent to see everyone’s heart open up to share their generosity while having fun and making friends. We can’t wait to do it again next year and every year after!
