Express Yourself at Art Explosion

Check out this dynamic team bringing the Art Explosion program back to the Denver Playhouse. These four are eager to help participants get creative, build self-conference, and dive into exploring different art mediums – all while incorporating social interactions and socialization with their peers.

The Art Explosion team, Julie, Ella, Dylan, and Tony have been involved with the Denver Playhouse in a variety of different ways over the last year. In bringing this program back, they hope that individuals with Down syndrome, their friends, and community will be brought together for an hour each month to be inspired, have fun, let their creativity shine, and help learn to express themselves.

Come to the Playhouse once a month to take the time out of the month to create a project that brings you relaxation and joy. While at Art Expression, we can use different mediums to explore ourselves and encourage one another as we work on different themed crafts.

This team is willing to teach any newcomers the tricks of the trade. When asked how this team likes to express themselves, this is what they had to say.

“I like to express myself through gardening.”
Julie

“I am creative by working with pottery.”
Ella

“You can find me working on building different Legos. I like to use Stop Motion Videos to turn my projects into little video clips.”
Tony

“I am creative by busting a move. I like to sing and dance.”
Dylan

Feel free to invite your community – friends, cousins, classmates, family and more. Art Explosion will be offered Saturdays from 10:45 – 11:45 am at the Denver Playhouse.
