Welcome Windows Make A Positive Introduction for New Playhouse

Part of our mission at GiGi’s Playhouse is to promote the positive perception of individuals with Down syndrome. Therefore, a signature piece of every GiGi’s Playhouse is the vibrant, engaging photo galleries on the building exterior – affectionately known as Welcome Windows.

The Denver GiGi’s Playhouse Welcome Windows provide a warm showcase of our beautiful Playhouse participants. The windows share a message of awareness and inclusion to the neighboring community by showcasing individuals with Down syndrome. We hope that those passing by will recognize this new space as a place of celebration, acceptance, and achievement. We strive to be inclusive by capturing the unique diversity of our community.

Meet Our Models

We’re so proud to introduce the inaugural class of the Denver Playhouse Welcome Windows – listed in order of their appearance on the exterior window panels from left-to-right

When asked about their interest to participate in the Welcome Windows, many of the families expressed the importance of representation and their desire to show the world a more positive face to Down syndrome.

“Gabriel has such a beautiful smile and personality that lights up a room. I wanted the general public to see that energy as they drive by on their commute every day,” shared Marie Janson, mother of window spokesmodel Gabriel Janson and sponsor of GiGi’s Playhouse Denver.  “GiGi’s is such a welcome and safe place for everyone with Down syndrome, and all the people who are lucky enough to love them.”

The Welcome Windows project is part of our annual funding efforts, and additional window panels will be open for future sponsorship opportunities. Panel sponsorship is available to individuals, families, and corporate partners. Please do not hesitate to share your interest by emailing us at [email protected]
