Sneak Peak

The Sneak Peek was a HUGE success thanks to our wonderful community. It was a day of celebration and excitement as we are one step closer to bringing a GiGi’s Playhouse to the Denver Metro. With over 150 community members in attendance, 10 businesses who made in-kind donations, and the Rise School of Denver, we feel nothing but appreciation for everyone coming together to support our Playhouse.

We anticipate that the energy and intentional participation was just a taste of what is to come in the future. We are all #strongertogether and more excited than ever to bring a Playhouse to our communities. Together we will continue to help spread awareness and acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome of all ages to Colorado and beyond.

At the event we were honored to have Connor Long, Down syndrome advocate, share his thoughts and kind words about the Playhouse. He said, “Playhouses are where believers come together to put their hearts, minds and resources together to make life-changing programs possible for people with Down syndrome of all ages….”

The amazing team at Mann Method PT and Fitness showcased the GiGiFIT Kids and GiGiFIT Teen programs. They are the creators of the GiGiFIT programs. How lucky are we to have their team located here in our wonderful state of Colorado? Dr. Sarah Mann, Dr. Jennifer Spiric, Dr. Lauren Theune and Jamie McGrew MOTR/L continue to use their expertise and passion with us all, to share about the importance of the health and well-being of individuals of all ages.

Of the over 50 programs GiGi’s Playhouse offers across the country, we chose to showcase the following in hopes to utilize them once our Playhouse opens. The programs included:

| GiGiFIT Kids| GiGiFIT Teen | Fantastic Friends | LMNOP |

The Sneak Peek would have been impossible without the amazing group of volunteers who generously gave their time to make the day vibrant and fun. It was because of their expertise, dedication and passion that GiGi’s Playhouse Denver is possible.

Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the community businesses who made in-kind donations for the event. The furniture, photography taken, posters, snacks, pictures, stickers, and tablecloth were all contributions that helped make the Sneak Peek a tremendous success.

We feel honored to have the greatest community. The support we have been given is overwhelming. We appreciate each and every one of you today and everyday as we continue to reach our dream of opening a Playhouse in the Denver Metro by 2020. We are all #strongertogether. Looking forward to collaborating with you all in the future. See you at the next event.

Yours truly,
GiGi’s Playhouse Start Up Team
